storm damages in July 2021

In mid-July 2021, heavy rain caused severe flooding in several parts of Germany. Several motorways in the Rhineland-area were also affected. While some motorways could be reopened to traffic after the water had drained away, other motorways have to be repaired. It may take several months before the motorway network is available again as usual.
